Open House is an annual global architectural event that opens up urban secret spaces that are not usually known to the public for a limited time. It focuses on people’s concerns and aspirations for the city, and through actual participation and interaction, discovers new relationships in architecture, cities, landscapes, and humanities.


Event Date| 11/11 (Sat) - 11/12 (Sun) 48-hour limited-time connection of more than 100 architectural spaces in Taipei.

Breathing City

Reproduce the water culture, experience the hydrophilic environment without going abroad, from the Chihtan Water Treatment Plant, Guanyinshan Reservoir, Caoshan Tunnel (Yangming Spring), to the Hsia River 94 Waterfront Renaissance and Guandu Nature Park Nature Center. Invite the public to explore seemingly hidden water resources, environments, and park green spaces, and imagine new possibilities for Taipei’s water city culture.

Enter the rarely open Ministry of Transportation Highway Bureau, Hao Han Design Headquarters that showcases young designers and green environmental sustainability, Hongguo Building with rare green building certification for high age in the world, new Taipei City-owned Nanmen Market, and National Audiovisual Center with audiovisual works such as old movies. Then feel the reinterpretation of time and space from the new life of various cultural assets. 5 Open New Model of City

Urban Exploration Competition and Street Corner Consultation Room

The first “Urban Exploration Competition” was launched to invite people to form teams to take pictures to solve puzzles and get points. Interesting tools that follow the map will show you different perspectives of architectural space highlights. The team with the highest points from 11/11-12/9 also has a chance to win a “City Roaming Motorcycle CLBCU” sponsored by SYM Motorcycles.


In Insider’s “Street Corner OPEN TALK”, through observation, experience, and themed sharing of urban space, interact with space managers and people on each space’s digital message board to discuss. Let the opened architectural field become a starting point for sustainable topics, a meeting place for knowledge exchange, and a new starting point for urban renewal to generate new insights into the city you live in.
